Grammatical gender Feminine. However, Mesomystides (created as a subgenus) may only have been used as a subgenus in Mystides (feminine) of which it is currently a synonym. WoRMS does not record subgenera genders as they do not affect species-group names which relate only to the genus. Erected for Mystides caeca. The other two adjectival (non-geographic) species group names are also feminine. [details]
