Diagnosis Halimedusidae, with eight nematocyst tracks in the exumbrella; eight radial canals; eight characteristic perradial and interradial subumbrellar pockets in the mesogloea between the radial canals; eight tentacles, with numerous stalked nematocyst knobs over their entire length; tentacular bulbs swollen with an abaxial ocellus. [details]
