Status Hexapods are now accepted as derived from within the crustaceans. Pancrustacea and Tetraconata have been proposed as alternative names for this expanded concept of Crustacea plus Hexapoda. In WoRMS, Crustacea is used as the accepted name (even though is a a paraphyletic grouping), being the oldest, most widely used and best established name. [details]
