Remark Umezaki (1958: 66), noting that the holotype of Kyrtuthrix dalmatica was destroyed in World WarII, designated as neotype a specimen from Split, Croatia, collected by Ercegovic in 1957 and placed in
Umezaki's herbarium, Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan. Drouet (1973: 178), after examining this specimen,
assigned it to Calothrix crustacea Thuret. [details]
