Official Lists and Indexes of Names and Works in Zoology; International Trust for Zoological Nomenclature: London, UK, 1987; pp. 1–366. Latin adjective with the meaning narrow, meager, or 'rather poor'. Gender to be adapted to Nipponomysis tenuicula. [details]
