Comparison Like Thecopsammia but not septa not arranged in a Pourtalès plan. [details]

Diagnosis Corallum solitary, trochoid, attached; epitheca well developed, covering fine hispid ridges; septa normally arranged; columella discrete and spongy; azooxanthellate. [details]

Remark This genus and family were monographed by Cairns (2001), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. Three species, only one of them fossil. [details]
