Taxonomic remark Laomedea tottoni is an objective synonym of Clytia fragilis Congdon, 1907 by the nomenclatural act of Leloup (1935c). As a name it is unnecessary because the secondary homonymy created by Leloup (1935) does not exist anymore.
Clytia fragilis Congdon, 1907 and thus also Laomedea tottoni has been regarded as a synonym of Clytia linearis (e. g. Calder, 1991). [details]
