Type locality Pacific Ocean, Canada, British Columbia, Victoria, Brochie Ledge, off Ogden Point breakwater (geoccordinates not provided, estimated with gazetteer to be approximately, lat. 48º24'23''N, long. 123º23'16.8''W), 4.5-7.5 m, in rocky habitat, from base of Balanus nubilus clump, apparently in burrows of unknown origin in the calcareous material.
