Taxonomic remark The genus Spermosyllis Claparède, 1864 is a subjective junior synonym of Exogone Örsted, 1845. The available drawings and descriptions of Spermosyllis capensis seem to confirm that it also belongs to the genus Exogone, but apparently such new combination was not formally published, yet. For this reason, the original combination Spermosyllis capensis is still considered here as 'accepted'.  [details]
