Diagnosis Original diagnosis by Malmgren (1866: 391-392): "Corpus dorso convexo, ventre subplano, antice tumidum posteriora versus sensim attenuatum, segmentis c. 50 — 70, in spiritu saepissime spiraliter sese convolvens. Tentacula numerosissima comam magnam densissimam componentia, sat longa. Tubercula setigera subcylindrica. Pinnulae uncinigerae minutae per latera ventris decurrentes. Scuta ventralia antica subrectangularia lata postice sensim minora. Color saepissime albicans, interdum subaurantiacus. Longit. 30 — 40 m.m., latit. antice 5 — 6 m.m." [details]
