Biology Type of larval development: direct (non planktotrophic) denoted by paucispiral protoconch.  [details]

Diagnosis Shell 2.1 to 2.4 mm high, with protoconch of 1.25 convex whorls and teleoconch of ca. 3 whorls. Protoconch markedly keeled adapically giving a very characteristically truncated profile to the apical whorl. Teleoconch whorls faintly angulated at a distance abapically from suture, with flexuous, narrow and elevated folds, more or less developed on different individuals, and spiral flat cords, as broad as interspaces or slightly broader, bearing the characteristic Manzonia-microsculpture of minute pits forming spiral lines. A stronger cord borders a channeled surface surrounding the umbilical area. Outer lip definitely opisthocline, thickened externally by a broad rim sloping gently towards the adjacent surface of body whorl; smooth inside. Shell white. [details]
