Taxonomic remark According to Hansen (1923) C. cluthae was described as Lernaeopoda cluthae T. Scott, 1900. Lernaeopoda cluthae was redescribed and illustrated by Scott & Scott (1913). Wilson (1915) transferred L. cluthae to Lerneopodina cluthae due to morphological features of the female especially the uropods which are situated dorsally of the egg sacs instead of ventrally (pg. 640-641), but it was also transferred to C. cluthae based on the morphology of the male (pg. 653). Kabata (1979) examined various specimens from several species of Raja and synonymised Lernaeopodina cluthae (T. Scott, 1900) with Lernaeopodina
longimana (Olsson, 1869).
