Taxonomy • Notholca biremis (Ehrenberg) after Levander (1894), De Ridder (1957).
• Separation of the closely related species N. bipalium, N. ikaitophila, N. liepetterseni, and N. striata heavily relies on biometric characters, albeit transitional forms exist. The taxonomy of this species complex is thus particularly confused, and in need of a thorough revision. [details]
