Styracaster transitivus sp. n. from the abyssal zone of the eastern half of the Pacific Ocean and S. simplipaxillatus n. sp. from the abyssal zone of the western part of the Indian Ocean are described on the basis of collections of Soviet expeditions. Data on new findings and taxonomic remarks are presented for the following four species: S. paucispinus, S. robustus, S. armatus and S. chuni. Each of the first two species has been known earlier by the only finding. S. armatus was found in the western and eastern parts of the Indian Ocean and in the central part of the Pacific Ocean for the first time.
