Homonymy Fabricia Blainville, 1828 is the most senior of several (4) homonyms using Fabricia as a genus name. The next in seniority is Fabricia Latreille, 1829 in Diptera (according to Neave's Nomenclator Zoologicus) [details]
Type species Tubularia stellaris Müller, 1774. However, Fauchald, 1977 incorrectly has the type species as Amphicora sabella Ehrenberg 1837. See the taxonomic history in Fitzhugh (1990). [details]
