From editor or global species database
Classification Holthe (1986: 65) created a family-level rank based on Amphicteis but used it as tribe Amphicteini. he included genera Amphicteis, Jugamphicteis, Phyllamphicteis, Paramphicteis, Ecamphicteis, Hypania, Hypaniola, and Hobsonia. Stiller et al (2020) raised it to subfamily rank as Amphicteinae, but included only Amphicteis, Hypania, and Noanelia, and presumably lacked molecular data for the others. Holthe had not placed Noanelia to a tribe. [details]
