Copepod Acartia lilljeborgii is a cosmopolitan specie and one of the four found species of greater abundance found in collect of plankton in the coasts of the Yucatan Peninsula, these species are own of environments slabs-estuarinos. Referring lines of investigation to A. lilljeborgii have focused mainly to the study of its morphology, taxonomy and its Biology, being very little the referring works to its genetic structure. It is tried to determine its population genetic structure and its implications within the trofica chain. It collects and handling of organisms according to the method used by Trujillo, 1995. Electrophoretic method used according to Brewer, 1970. Nine systems were used. Program TFPGA was used version 1.3 to process the data of genic frequencies of aloenzimas of the study populations. The results showed the existence of a genetic flow, that considers probably through a passive dispersion of the diapáusicos eggs that produces this species. The polymorphism and heterozygosity of compared the populations studied here to the being with those of other copépods genetically characterized, they turned out to be low. The three populations of A. lilljeborgii analyzed in the Yucatan Peninsula, presented a low variability and genetic differentiation between the populations, in spite of having a restricted habitat to semienclosed water bodies, like the coastal lagoons, which originates that these populations are partially isolated. Nevertheless because A. lilljeborgii produces diapáusicos eggs or of rest, these can outside be transported or within these water bodies, it is probable that this condition maintains the frequencies to each other alélicas and genotípics similars or very near.
