The bachelor thesis is focused on mapping zooplankton communities in ten selected ponds in the Trebíc region. Monitoring took place in a semi-quantitative form twice during the vegetation season of 2019. Sampling was performed in spring and autumn in the given year. The species spectrum of zooplankton as an important indicator of the aquatic environment was microscopically analyzed. The results showed that there were 19 species of Cladocera, 6 species of Copepoda and 33 species of Rotifera in the samples. Qualitative analysis and mutual comparison of spring and autumn sampling revealed that all samples were dominated by small cladoceran Bosmina longirostris and rotifers Asplanchna priodonta together with Keratella cochlearis. Changes in the abundance and species composition of zooplankton were then viewed from the perspective of physico-chemical indicators on individual ponds. Based on the obtained results, a modification of the site management was proposed, consisting for instance in the reduction of aquatic macrophytes by specific fish stock or mud removal to improve the hydrobiological conditions in ponds.
