Taxonomy This taxon was used by Dana (1853-1855) as a subfamily of the Cyclopidae. It is based on the harpacticoid genus Sterope Goodsir, 1845 - now treated as a synonym of Alteutha Baird, 1845 placed in the family Peltidiidae. The correct name for the family group needs to be determined. [details]
