Validity Fleeger considers the species being a junior synonym of C. deitersi, as it differs on the number of setae on the antenna, a characters known to vary in C. deitersi (Richard, 1897). The second difference is the number of spines on the anal operculum, a character also known to be very variable on Canthocamptidae. [details]
