Description Male (A) and female (B) of a “marsupial” urchin, Temnotrema bigoti from the Pliocene of Vendée (after Dudicourt et al. 2005). The female is distinguished from the male by a brood pouch surrounding the apical system (center). Scale bar: 5 mm.
