Copepods community belonging to the family Corycaeidae (Poecilostomatoida Copepoda) from Gulf of Cariaco was taxonomically analyzed. Samples were collected with a Bongo net (300 μm) between 025 m depth, in 10 stations, 5 in Pariche-Manicuare (north) area, and 5 in the Cumana-El PEñón (south). 1034 specimens were examined and 14 species were identified, the most common and abundant in both areas Corycaeus (Ditrichocorycaeus) amazonicus, then followed C. (Onychocorycaeus) catus and C. (Monocorycaeus) robustus in the north, while in the south it seconded C. (Corycaeus) speciosus and Farranula rostrata. Four new records were identified for the study area.
