The holopelagic annelid family Typhloscolecidae is revised based on all available material deposited in the Zoological Museum of Moscow State University comprised of specimens collected from the Arctic, Atlantic, Southern, and Indian Oceans. Based both on the museum collection and available literature, we provide detailed morphological and molecular descriptions for the majority of known typhloscolecid species. The study encompasses two currently known species of the genus Sagitella (Sagitella kowalewskii and Sagitella dubia), four species of Travisiopsis (Travisiopsis coniceps, Travisiopsis lanceolata, Travisiopsis levinseni, Travisiopsis lobifera), and six species of Typhloscolex (Typhloscolex muelleri, Typhloscolex leuckarti, Typhloscolex phyllodes, Typhloscolex robustus, Typhloscolex reibischi, and Typhloscolex keldyschi). In addition, we describe three new species: Typhloscolex grib sp. nov., Typhloscolex uljanini sp. nov., and Typhloscolex apobalopetalon sp. nov. The redescriptions, molecular diagnostics and an updated identification key for the family Typhloscolecidae are provided.
