K. Lampert analysed a collection of Eastern African Holothuroids from the Natural Historical Museum in Hamburg. Most of them come from Zanzibar (Tanzania), in spite of also being a representative of the Red Sea. 22 species are described and located. The author denotes a regularly wider distribution to the Indian Ocean and to the Pacific Ocean.
