Taxonomy The paper establishing the Canuelloida was subsequently retracted. As originally proposed by Khodami et al (2017) the order Canuelloida comprised just two families, the Canuellidae and the Longipediidae. This composition is identical to that of the Polyarthra of Lang (1944), established as a suborder of Harpactcoida. Dahms (1991) suggested that the Polyarthra should be excluded from the Harpacticoida and his use of the Polyarthra has precedence over the (now retracted) Canuelloida.  [details]
