Authority Cerastoderma glaucum (Brugière, 1789)
The original author of Cardium glaucum is a serious problem, because Poiret and Brugière have described this species under the same name at the same time. However, the exact publication date of Poiret is unknown, whereas that of Bruguière is June 1789 (Evenhuis, 2003). Under Article 21.3.2 of the Code, the date to be adopted for Poiret is 31 December 1789. Consequently, Bruguière is the author. [details]
