Taxonomy Pettibone (1957, 1963) considered the genus Orbinia Quatrefages, 1866 as being divided in two subgenera, the Orbinia (Orbinia) Quatrefages, 1866, and the Orbinia (Phylo) Kinberg, 1866. However, most authors considered the two genera as being valid and distinct. The relationship between the two genera is very close, but it is not completely solved (Bleidorn, 2005). [details]
