Type locality Original locality is unclear from Haeckel's original descriptions. He cites a number of localities for Leucetta primigenia, which was considered the paternal species for L. isoraphis, L. microraphis and L. megaraphis. Burton (1963) cites Bermuda, Australia, Red Sea and Brazil as occurrences. [details]

Identification Worheide & Hooper (1999)'s record of this species from the Great Barrier Reef differs substantially from Van Soest & De Voogd's (2015)'s specimens (color, size of giant triactines). Pulitzer-Finali's (1982) records under this name are likely to be Pericharax, according to these authors. These remarks stress the necessity for a revision of this species. [details]
