Nomenclature The authors of this species distinguished four forma's, viz. nuda, vaubana, stellata, and variodisca. The ICZN specifically ruled (art. 15.2) that such formas proposed after 1960 are to be considered infrasubspecific and as such are not governed by the Code. The names of the formas are unavailable for future use as a taxon of subspecific or specific rank. They are listed here merely because they exist in the literature, but are considered members of the species, for convenience sake declared unaccepted as junior synonyms. [details]
