Etymology Coralliotrocha has the author etymology comments as follows: “Corallium” = coral (Latin); “trochus” = encirclement, ciliary ring (Greek)." The Greek is as 'Trochos' and in Latin it is Trochus (masculine). As the authors instead use 'trocha' probably they intended a feminine genus (the adjectival epithet 'natan's is the same whether masculine or feminine. As subsequent authors Hartmann-Schröder & Rosenfeldt, 1992 used 'composita' (feminine ending) for the species they added to the genus evidently they also considered the genus name to be feminine. Corallium is probably a reference to the coral sand habitat of the species. [details]

Corallium is probably a reference to the coral sand habitat of the species. [details]

Grammatical gender Not stated but appears to be intended as feminine (trocha rather than trochus). As subsequent authors Hartmann-Schröder & Rosenfeldt, 1992 used 'composita' (feminine ending) for the species they added to the genus evidently they also considered the genus name to be feminine. [details]
