Nomenclature As the original name of Oligobregma aciculatum, namely Pseudoscalibregma aciculata, is the type species of Oligobregma it is worthwhile correcting the spelling in WoRMS to a neuter suffix of 'aciculatum' for gender agreement, so that authors realize they should stop using 'aciculata'. All genus names ending in -bregma in the Scalibregmatidae are neuter. [details]

[details]

Spelling Oligobregma aciculata should be O. aciculatum for grammatical agreement of specific epithet with a neuter genus. The spelling as O. aciculatum has been indirectly and directly published previously (Blake, 2015 indirectly as Pseudoscalibregma aciculatum, and Parapar et al, 2021 as Oligobregma aciculatum in their Table A2 of valid names) [details]
