Authority Attributed to Gray by L. Agassiz (1841: p. 92), who had attached the name Echinarachnius atlanticus to specimens in the Brtish Museum. Gray, however, never appears to have actually published the name (it is not inculuded in his 1825 work). Agassiz's use thus is the first to make the name validly available and he is, therefore, the correct author according to the Code. [details]
