Mellita notabilis (oral surface)
Description
Oral surface of Mellita notabilis. The stippled areas indicate the depressions of the pressure drainage channels and thoir tributaries. The solid lines mark the food grooves. M. notabilis has very prominent, steep pressure drainage channels, leading to the irrcgularly looking lunules. The main food grooves surrounding them are widely divergent and sinuous. The test is distinctly wider than long.
