Two new genera and seven new species and varieties are described from the Eocene of Mexico. Polylepidina and Helicolepidina are shown to be descended from Amphistegina, through the new genera Helicostegina and Eulinderina, by a complete series of transitional forms. The general relationships of the group are briefly discussed, and the possible polyphyletic origin of Lepidocyclina adumbrated.
