The Kalabagh Limestone Member, the upper part of the Upper Permian Wargal Formation of the Salt Range, Pakistan, yields abundant multiform smaller foraminifers associated with divergent appearance of Colaniella, an important index of the Late Permian. These foraminifers are unquestionably correlated with those of the Late Permian flourishing age (Abadehian-Dzhulfian) of Paleozoic smaller foraminifers. Five new primitive species of Colaniella are described (C. cuneiformis, C. minuta, C. pseudominima, C. pseudolepida, and C. zaluchense) and their specific morphological characters are plotted on size-partitions and apical angle-maximum width diagrams. Two early stage phylogenetic lineages are newly recognized.
