Cushman (1923) states on page 106 wheb discussing C. gibba from the Atlantic: "The specimens that I have figured as this species from the Philippines do not belong here". Seems that the figured Philippine specimens of Cushman (1921; pl.45, fig1a-b) belong to Astacolus.
