Original description Diagnosis — A distinct zenus of fusulinellid that bears similarities to Schwagerina (Moeller, 1877), Nagatoella Thompson, 1936 and (M. Miklucho-Maclay, 1949). Shells are small, short, ovoid to inflated fusiform, with convex lateral slopes, bluntly rounded to bluntly pointed poles. Axial filling throughout the axial area, which is straight, but filling does nor spread far bevond the axial region. Septa are folded throughout shell, largely as tall, rounded loops which are commonly filled with secondary material either partiallv at the top of folds, or completely. which, when occurring near the tunnel area can give the appearance of chomata deposits. Commonly, when this occurs, it is difficult to decide whether one is looking at chomata or pseudochomata. It may be noted, however, that chomata are indeed present in the early whorls, Close examination of tangential sections (Pl. 90, Figs. 12-14) reveal the presence of occasional cuniculi, especially near the ends of preceding volutions. Tunnel is very narrow, but evident. Spirotheca is thin, composed of the tectum and well-developed keriotheca. Nagatodarvasiella hidalgoensis has shells of 7-8 volutions, averages 5.1 mm in length and 2.7 mm in width, for a form ratio of 1.9. Diameter of the very small proloculus averages 110 microns in nine specimens, varving in size between 87 and 145 microns. Two specimens, each measuring 87 microns could possibly represent microspheric individuals. Average septal counts per whorl are 10, 19, 22, 25, 29. 33, and 35, from the first to the seventh whorl, respectively.
