Original description Diagnosis: À distinct genus of fusulinellid with a shell of 6 to 7 volutions that are elongate, slightly fusiform, with low, convex lateral slopes, a straight to slightly curving axis of coiling, with bluntly pointed poles, a tightly coiled juvenarium of 2 to 3 volutions, expanding into 4 to 5 inflated whorls. The proloculus is very small, and the septa are folded like a Paraschwagerina (Pl. 102, Figs. 2, 3) and a Pseudoschwagerina (PL. 101, Fig.3; Pl. 102, Fig. 1). The former, with high narrow, irregular folds, and the latter with low; rounded folds. Average length of shells is 7.1 mm, and average width is 2.5 mm, giving consistent form ratios of 2.9. The proloculus diameter averages 106p. varying from 44 to 160u, but not counting the specimen on Plate 101, the average 1s 52L, varying from 44 to 58u. Average septal counts in two sagittal sections are 8, 9, 11, and 13, from the first to fourth volution. The spirotheca is relatively thin and composed of a tectum and keriotheca.
