Original description Diagnosis. Shell fusiform, ellipsoidal and subcylindrical. Proloculus small. Coiling tight in inner 2–4 volutions and then loosely expanded after slight or sharp increase in rate of expansion. Spirotheca thin in inner volutions, sharply thickened in the next ones. Septa thin, slightly and intensely fluted. In axial sections septa as irregular loop-shaped arcs of varying height, undulate lines and cellular interlacing with various width. Sometimes in outer volutions septa with thin pores. Axial fillings commonly throughout axial areas. Chomata small in inner volutions, becoming pseudochomata in outer volutions. Aperture narrow, expanded in outer volutions.
Occurrence and age. Northern Timan, Indigski horizon of P 1 , lower part of P1 as; Bashkiria and Middle Urals (lower and middle parts of Asselian of Timan), upper third of Gzhelian stage; Darvaz, the lower part of the Gzelian Stage of the Middle Tien-Shan.
