Description Description: Test endothyrid, biumbilicated, with a broadly rounded periphery, with initial whorls endothyroid and slightly deviated, and adult whorls nearly planispiral and evolute. The height of whorl increases rapidly throughout growth. Secondary basal deposits faint to absent. Wall microgranular unilayered. Aperture terminal simple.
Occurrence: Bashkirian-early Moscovian of the southern Urals (Malakhova, 1980); southern Timan (Reitlinger, 1950), Bashkirian of Donbass Basin (Brazhnikova & Potievska, 1948; Manukalova-Grebenyuk et al., 1969; Nemirovskaya et al., 1991). Bashkirian of Japan (Hy. Igo & Adachi, 1981).

Original description
The genus name is derived from the locality of Irikly.
Type species: Endothyra spirilliniformis Brazhnikova et Potievska var. evoluta Reitlinger; eastern slope of the Southern Urals; Khudolaz River; Bashkirian Stage.
Diagnosis: The shell is spirally coiled, discoid, compressed along the axis, biconcave, with wide, deep umbilicuses. Coiling is symmetrical, the whorls are completely evolute. Endothyroidism is absent. The periphery is broadly rounded. The height and width of the last whorl increase so rapidly that the chambers are swollen compared to the preceding ones. The wall is thin, dark, and fine-grained. Inconstant additional deposits are weakly expressed; they are observed on the sides of the chambers and on the periphery.
Remark: The structure of this peculiar form does not correspond to the generic characteristics of Endothyra, since its coiling is completely evolute, endothyroidism is absent, and in the nature of coiling and shape it is closer to the primitive representatives of the Fusulinidae family.
