Description Description: Test elongate fusiform to subcylindrical, with bluntly pointed poles. Nearly straight axis of coiling. Tunnel poorly marked but present. Chomata absent. No juvenarium. Septal folding strong, almost up to the top of the chamber, with long loops or superposed rounded loops. Axial filling relatively developed but only in the initial whorls. Proloculus spherical to reniform moderate in size. Phrenothecae developed in the last whorls. No cuniculi.
Occurrence: Asselian–Yakhstashian. Urals, Russian Plate, Pamir (Leven, 1967), Xinjiang (Sun & Zhang, 1988); rare in the USA (Dunbar & Skinner, 1937; Bensh, 1987), eastern Iran (Kahler, 1974a). Middle Permian of Thailand (Toriyama, 1975), Japon, Cambodgia, Vietnam, Sumatra (Deprat, 1912a; Huzimo to, 1936); South China (Lin et al., 1977); Malaysia (Igo et al., 1979); Chitral (Gaetani & Leven, 1993; Leven, 1993a).
