Original description Diagnosis- Test medium in size, inflated fusiform to subspher- ical, small proloculus followed by closely coiled inner four to five volutions, later more loosely coiled with higher chambers that enlarge gradually, spirotheca composed of tectum and rather coarse alveolar keriotheca, septa rather closely spaced, plane to weakly and regularly fluted at base, chomata distinct and massive in inner volutions, small but distinct chomata psesent even in outer volutions.
Distribution- Upper Carboniferous (Gzhelian), Japan , North China and British Columbia, Canada.
(Ozawa et al. (1992)). [details]
