Description Р. в трех нач. об. чечевицевидная, иногда в первом наутилоидная, с обособленным ювенариумом или с постепенным переходом в наутилоидную до субсферической р. взрослой формы, инвол., иногда эвол. во внешн. об.; число об. 6-7; ст. р. обычно с четкой люминотекой; устье единичное; хоматы и парахоматы разнообразной формы. Ок. 20 видов Ср. карбон-в. пермь; Евр. часть России, Ср. Азия, Испания, Турция, Китай, Япония, Вьетнам, Иран, Мексика.

Test lenticular in three initial whorls, sometimes nautiloid in the first, with a distinct juvenarium or with a gradual transition from nautiloid to subspherical; the adult test is involute, sometimes evolute in the outer whorl; there are 6-7 whorls; the wall usually has a distinct luminotheca; the aperture is single; chomata and parachomata are of variable shape. Around of 20 species. Middle Carboniferous-Upper Permian; European part of Russia, Central Asia, Spain, Turkey, China, Japan, Vietnam, Iran, Mexico. [details]
