Original description Diagnosis.⎯Schwagerinid fusulinaceans characterized by cuniculi and rapid increase in chamber height following first volution. Discussion.⎯Four new species, one assigned questionably, and four species described and figured by Skinner and Wilde (1965) and placed in their genus Cuniculinella, including C. inflata Skinner and Wilde, 1965, C. mira Skinner and Wilde, 1965, C. rotunda Skinner and Wilde, 1965, and C. turgida (Thompson and Wheeler, 1946), are here placed in the new genus Inyoschwagerina. This genus differs from Chalaroschwagerina Skinner and Wilde, 1965 in possessing cuniculi. It differs from Cuniculinella Skinner and Wilde, 1965 in the abrupt expansion of the shell after the initial volution.
Occurrence: Artinskian(?) of California.
