Diagnosis Test conical; early stage trochospiral to pseudoplanispiral, then rectilinear with broad, low chambers subdivided by marginal subepidermal partitions, central zone containing pillars or vertical partitions; simple megalospheric embryonal apparatus of protoconch and deuteroconch or may be more complex, with one or two additional zones; may have trilaminar wall, with endoskeleton of transparent calcite partly covered by secondary granular calcite with organic material and may incorporate agglutinated particles; aperture consists of numerous pores in the central zone of the septa.
