Description Description: Test large, subspherical, slightly higher than broad. Straight axis of coiling and faintly depressed poles. Proloculus spherical relatively small. Juvenarium poorly individualized (subgenus Robustoschwagerinoides) to very distinct (subgenera Robustoschwagerina and Longlinia Yang & Hao, 1991) in form of a fusiform Triticites with strong chomata, and tightly coiled adult whorls suddently increasing in height after the juvenarium and then relatively constant; the height of the last whorl is generally lower than the height of the penultimate whorl. Triticitid septa in the juvenarium; adult septa almost unfolded. No chomata in the adult stage. Keriotheca fine and relatively thin. Septa thinner than the wall. Aperture basal simple.
Occurrence: Sakmarian–Bolorian (Leven et al., 1992; Leven, 1993b) of Turkey; Iran?; Uzbekistan; Afghanistan; Central Asia; North China?; South China; Xinjiang; Tibet; Indochina; Laos; Japan; and only one locality on the North American craton (see Ueno, 1998). In the Carnic Alps and Karavanke (Kochansky-Devidé, 1970; Kahler, 1983; Forke, 1995c; Davydov et al., 2013).

Diagnosis Test large, subspherical, biumbilicate, inflated, early whorls closely coiled, forming a fusiform juvenarium, later whorls rapidly enlarging in height but coiling axis enlarging more slowly so that adult test becomes globular and strongly umbilicate, final whorl of reduced height as in Pseudoschwagerina; wall of tectum and keriotheca, chomata prominent in the fusiform juvenarium, very faint in later whorls. L. Permian (Asselian to Sakmarian); USSR; China; Japan; Carnie Alps; Yugoslavia; Turkey; USA: Texas. (Loeblich & Tappan, 1987, Foraminiferal Genera and Their Classification) [details]
