Description Description: Test large, inflated fusiform to subspherical. Poles rounded to slightly umbilicated. Proloculus spherical relatively large. Septa unfolded to faintly folded, often with numerous septal pores. Juvenarium poorly developed with only one or two volutions more tightly coiled. Wall and septa thick for a pseudoschwagerinin. Chomata faint and low. Aperture terminal, basal, simple.
Occurrence: Sakmarian–Artinskian; Carnic Alps, Slovenia, southern Urals, Turkey, northern Afghanistan, Pamirs, Fergana, North China, Tarim, South China, Laos, Vietnam and Japan (Liu et al., 1978; Leven et al., 1992; Lys, 1994; Rauzer-Chernousova et al., 1996; Vachard, unpublished data); ?Iran (Lys et al., 1978).

Diagnosis Test robust, globular to ovoid, about 5 mm in length, early whorls tightly coiled with elongate axis resulting in fusiform shape, abrupt increase in height after the juvenarium followed by four to five larger whorls, septa nearly plane to slightly fluted at the base; wall thick, of tectum and coarsely alveolar keriotheca, increasing in thickness in the adult stage, chomata very low and widely spaced; septal pores numerous. L. Permian (Sakmarian) Wolfcampian; Austria; Yugoslavia; Turkey; Iraq; USSR: W. part, S. Urals, and Asiatic region; Japan; S. China; Viet Nam.
