Diagnosis Test enrolled, planispiral, and involute, slightly flattened, with broadly rounded periphery; wall agglutinated, thin imperforate epidermal layer covers and externally obscures the thick, alveolar subepidermal layer in which the alveoles may bifurcate repeatedly, septa consist of short continuations of the outer wall, and do not form a basal layer by addition of material against the previous whorl; aperture a large single equatorial opening at the base of the apertural face.
