Cladocarpus delicatus, a new species of plumulariid hydroid, is described, bringing to nine the number of species of Cladocarpus known from the Straits of Florida. The delicate appearance of the colony and spike-like projection from the medial abcauline wall of the hydrotheca distinguishes C. delicatus from other species of this genus. A key to the species of Cladocarpus known from the tropical western Atlantic is provided.
