Type material Dynamena fasciculata: Kirchenpauer lists the species from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, and from New Zealand. Sydney is the first listed locality and should therefore be considered the type locality; however, no further Australian records of the species are known. Description and figures, apparently, are based on the New Zealand (South Island) material. Holotype probably lost. [details]
